Sun Sensor Subsystem Physical Layout

The sun sensor is divided into two structural units. The pie shaped portion houses the photo resistors and is designed to shield the sensors from ambient light. This segment is attached to the circuit board with excess wire so that it may be positioned in the satellite as space will allow. The housing is 3/16" foamcore and is assembled using hot glue. The bin dividers are made of thin cardboard which are inserted in the slits in the foamcore to facilitate curvature.

The circuit box is constructed of 3/16" foamcore secured with hot glue. The dimensions are seen on the following diagram:
